	Addie: (DOB 1989 ) -- As of Jan. 2001, was diagnosed w/ KTS, was prescribed a 30-40 mm compression knee high or thigh high for daily wear. We have used MLD ( massage therapy ) as need to help her with pain and mild swelling since March, 2001. Her Port Wine Stain is from her back left hip, down her leg, to her toes (as the pix show the leg only). Up until July, 2002 she had no laser treatments and never really wanted to pursue the laser treatment approach. She recently had her first PDL treatment with a cooling device for the KT symptoms. This first treatment was 141 pulses, at about 1/2 strength ( meaning the settings were >> joules -- 4.5, wave -- 585, coolant -- 50/20 ) The doctor stated since we are not treating her birthmark for cosmetic issues the settings need to be conservative for now. Vascular malformations are smaller than normal femoral artery and return veins in her left torso to her toes. Tests of arteriogram and venogram in early 2001 showed history of a blood clot in her left femoral artery and major superficial veins in lower leg and feet. This accounts for the extra blood pooling in her foot at times, ie: compression support. Follow up doctor appts w/ Dr. Raju, Vascular specialists, Jackson MS are every 6 mths. Addie takes 2 chewable baby aspirin 1 time a week for the low blood coagulation issue. A complete bio and profile with other pixs is available on the following site: www.k-t.org.
