VBF is very excited to announce the first of its kind…an "All Vascular Birthmarks" conference and reunion weekend (Hemangioma, Port Wine Stains, Venous Malformations, AVMs, Lymphatic Malformations, CMTC, KTS, SWS).

We want everyone who has been a part of the VBF family to come and meet the world's leading experts, mingle with families from all over the world that have been affected by a vascular birthmark, and learn about the latest in research and treatment. Most of all have fun in one of the greatest cities in the world at one of the most beautiful times of the year.

The conference will be October 27-28th, 2006 at the Boston Hilton near the airport.

Highlights include a welcome reception Friday evening with a keynote address by Dr. Martin Mihm (Director of VBF Research and the Scientific Advisory Committee). He will be sharing the most exciting news in research ever concerning vascular birthmarks. Food will be served. After the keynote address there will be a one-hour break out session in 4 different rooms with medical specialists answering questions in an informal setting from parents. Saturday morning will be the conference with specialists presenting on ALL vascular birthmark types. Saturday afternoon will be a 5 hour clinic with 4 different medical teams. Breakfast, lunch and daycare will be provided. Special guests, such as the author of a children's book about a birthmark "Buddy Booby's Birthmark" will be on hand for book signings and a reading in the daycare center during the conference. Food will be provided Friday evening, breakfast and lunch on Saturday.

The hotels are very expensive in Boston at this time of the year due to the fall foliage, but VBF was able to negotiate a great deal with the Hilton (very close to the airport). VBF will be paying $100 for every hotel room for FRIDAY evening ONLY. The remaining cost to the family will be only $100 (including tax). If you want to stay a second night, you will be given the VBF discounted rate of $179. You will have to pay this amount on your own. VBF will only be paying $100 for Friday evening. All registrations will go directly through the Hilton. The cost to attend the conference is just $50 per family and the cost for a clinic appointment is just $50 per family (person). If you cannot afford the $50 cost of the conference or the $50 cost for the clinic, VBF will waive all but $25. However, we cannot waive the $100 portion of the hotel that you will need to pay for Friday night or the discounted rate you will need to pay if you stay Saturday night.

Two new features this year include 4 breakout sessions on Friday evening, with 4 different teams. Those 4 same teams will conduct the clinics on Saturday. You can pick one breakout session for Friday evening and one clinic for Saturday. The breakout session will give you a chance to ask the medical team questions.

Don't waste any time. We only have 100 rooms reserved.
